My inspiration for this Mani came from Cute Polish.
Fun Facts about Chuck Taylor:
Taylor began his career with the Converse Rubber Company in 1921, and he eventually worked with the company's development to design a shoe for basketball players. Taylor's shoe design was focused on comfort and performance. Converse added Taylor's signature to the shoe to go along with its own trademark star in 1932. Converse All-Star shoes started out in limited production and distribution, but eventually became the highest-selling basketball shoe in history. Read more here.
I got so many amazing compliments on my checkered nails that I decided to make a brief tutorial using my friend Cinthya as my hand model. We decided to go with the original checkerboard colors of Black, Red and Gold. I hope you like it!
To achieve this look, paint your nails 1 coat of your choice of color and wait for it to dry. Apply strips of striping tape to create a checkerboard design. Color in the boxes and remove the tape before the polish dries (You'll need to do this one nail at a time). Repeat this process until your Checkered Mani is complete. Apply a fast drying top coat and stare at your beautiful creation!
